Rosalia
Rosalia Vila aka Rosalia is a Spanish flamenco and pop performer. When she was a teenager she was involved with traditional as well as popular music. Her music interests have widened to include hip-hop and soul. Pepe Habichuela, a flamenco guitar player who is renowned for her talent, described her voice saying that it is sweet, with a traditional bite. El Mal Querer is her second album, made available in 2018, which has been a commercial and critical success. Following Los Angeles, her debut album, released in 2017, was awarded an Latin Grammy for Best New Artist and also an Latin Grammy nod. The track La Fama featuring the Weeknd was released in 2021. Motomami is her 3rd full-length album. It featured collaborations on songwriting with other musicians and producers, such as Cory Henry. It was released in 2022, as a result of a Saturday Night Live appearance by the singer Chicken Teriyaki. Rosalia became the first Spanish artist to sing solo on the show. Motomami was the sole female in the history of music to be a recipient of the Latin Album of the Year twice, in addition to the three Latin Grammy Awards.
